Staying out on the West Coast, we look at the A’s coming to terms on a long term extension of 7 years $70 million and what it means for their journey in returning to relevancy. Later, we take our talk to the South Side as the White Sox remain active this offseason signing Austin Hays to a one year contract and landing a trade with the Boston Red Sox to acquire both Jordan Hicks and David Sandlin. What’s up Ballers?! Today, we got a jam packed show as we discuss Harrison Bader landing a two year contract to join the San Francisco Giants outfield. In Cleveland, we dive into the team and their star third baseman Jose Ramirez agreeing to an extension that will keep him with the club through the 2032 season. Later, we discuss two minor league deals agreed upon as Craig Kimbrel lands with the Mets and Trey Mancini signs with the Angels both with invitations to MLB Spring Training Camp. Also, we get to the bottom of the report that Yu Darvish was announcing his retirement according to a local San Diego source quickly pivoting from two statements from Darvish’s camp including the pitcher himself stating he has not decided upon retirement as of yet and has a desire to pitch in 2027 as long as his recovery from surgery in October goes to plan. Finally, we discuss the elephant in the room, with the league’s collective bargaining agreement is set to expire on December 1 of this year discussing topics to be addressed between the MLB and MLBPA that may lead to an eventual lockout.
